We just got back from a little town called Gympie Australia!
Our good buddy Ian Harwood from Event Management Solutions invited Tracey, Jordo, Mick, and I down to a local Down Hill race he was putting on for some big sponsors like Queensland Water.
Ian and his team did a really good job on putting this race together! We had the local 4×4 off road club doing shuttles, local people doing the food, and 150 racers! Everything was on time, and there was no drama! That is impressive for a first time race! We really enjoyed ourselfs!
Mick and Tracey won their classes, and Jordo had a massive off on one of the fastest spots on the course. So he was pretty beat up and dissapointed. But all in all, it was a very fun coarse for them!
Being 5 months pregnant now, I didn’t ride, but I did get to drive one of the brand new V-8 Land Cruisers! That was a good time for me!
I think the baby enjoyed it too!
We headed to Brisbane where we met up with Amazing Freerider, Darren Pokoj’s parents Ziggy and Judy! They are the most amazing people! They took wonderful care of us, and I just have to say thanks to them! I got to meet a bunch of Micks friends he hasn’t seen for years, and I got to see Darrens back yard training grounds! Quite cool!
We will be heading back to America in a few weeks, so it was a good time to see some more of Australila and catch up with old friends! It was absolutely beautiful down near Gympie, and it was nice and cool! The people were great too!
I hope you all are enjoying life, and riding lots! THE HANNAH’S!

Today is Micks and my 2nd anniversary!
It’s been a wonderful 3 years of being in love, and 2 years of a great marriage, and many more years to come!
Only, from now on, we won’t be living our married life out with just the 2 of us! In November, we will be adding a new member to our family!
I have changed alot in the last year, and these changes have brought me more into a place of truly enjoying life! My heart desires to be an excellent wife, and companion to my husband, and in both of our hearts is the desire to be loving parents!
We are extremely excited for this new step in our lifes, and I want to thank all of you who have supported us in our journey of riding, and life!
Riding to Mick is so much more then just a hobby, it’s in his blood! So his riding will continue for as long as he so desires. You’ll still see much of Mick, just in a bit of a different mind set! Purely for the love of the sport! Nothing less, and Nothing more!
As for me, riding has deffinently taken a back seat. Especially now that it’s not just my life I cary anymore!
I might ride now and again, but it’s just not in my heart the way it used to be! Things like riding horses and skiing are the things that run in my blood, and now being a mommy. Riding was a huge journey, and I met alot of great people, and discovered alot of amazing places along the way! These people, places, and experiences, I will never forget!
It’s been a long time since I last wrote an update, and I hope this update finds you all very well! To be honest I was a bit hessitant to write this letter. Didn’t want to let anyone down. But more I hope it inspires you to follow your hearts true desires. But I wanted to let those of you who have been such wonderful supporters know where we are in life! I’ve heard a few have been wondering where we are and what we are up to! We are in Australia at the moment, embrassing, and very excited about the new addition to our family, and just about life in general!
Thank you all so much! I’ll try to keep updates on any big news, or if Mick does any big races! Have a Great Day!!! THE HANNAH’S!
August 8, 2007
Well, today is the first day I have been able to sit down, and let you know how the weeks have gone.
This whole trip was dedicated to filming for a High Defenition T.V. show that will air all over the world called NOMADS. Nate, Sasha, and Don Hampton were all the filmers for this trip, and they did an amazing job.
Everyday of the entire 2 weeks was spent filming, and riding some of the most amazing terrain ever! It was awesome!!!
Mick and our friend Steven Foley from Australia filmed together alot, and I think that was really cool for them being how Steven and his dad are the one who got Mick into Mt. bikes in the first place. They even got to race the mega avalanche. There child hood dream!
First in LE D’ALPES. There was an Avalanche race, and they both did very well. It was the first time for either of them to race on snow, and against 100’s of riders all at once. It was really hard, but a very good experience for them both. I was waiting at the bottome for them, and they both had the biggest smiles on there faces when they crossed the finish line!
There was a cut slopestyle contest there, that I was planning on competing in, but once I got there and rode the coarse, I was not feeling to confident on it. So I decided not to compete last minuite. It was more important to me to save myself for the rest of the trip, and for Mick, then to get out there and do something stupid and hurt myself. I havn’t ridden much this year, so I knew it would not be wise to try and push it.
I was pretty bumbed about how the slopestyle went for me, but when we arrived to ALPE D’HUEZ, it all changed for me. I have not ridden down hill in over a year, but Cannondale loaned me a Perp., and I went filming with Don Hampton, Carlo Deikman, and Ameer. I have never felt so good on a bike. It was AWESOME!!! Two days later, they talked me into racing the Mega Avalanche. So I did! It was crazy!!!
There were 60 girls in my class, which was the most girls I have ever seen riding at once. First we had to do a mass start qualifier to determine where we would start for the Mega Race. I ended up getting 3rd. It was pretty scary to start with 60 girls all at once. But it definently pushes you.
So the day of the Mega, we had to get up at 5 a.m., and make the treck up to the 14,000ft start on top of a glacier in 0′c wether. Brrrrrrr!
Micks race was the first race off, and it was a mass start of 406 men. It was so fun to watch. Riders were crashing everywhere on the snow! It is so hard to ride, especially when you are dodging stacked riders. 20 min. after they started, it was the girls turn to start, but they had to post pone the race due to a bad crash on the glacier. The helicoptors came in, and airlifted him out, and as soon as they left, the girls got lined up again.
5min. before our race was to start, I noticed someone walking up the snow carrying there bike. It was Mick. He had tacoed his wheel after dodging falling riders. I was really bumbed for him, but then I found out that he was the one helping the injured rider, and then I knew he was meant to be there just for that guy.
So finally, we were off!
I never crashed on the snow, which put me in first for a bit, then I crashed super hard on the rock section. I was feeling really good until I stacked. I thought I broke my arm for a bit, but when I finally picked myself up, and got my bike back on coarse, 3 girls had passed me, but I kept on going.
Down fast grassy hills, traversing for miles, and pushing up switch backs, across single track, up and down hills, and finally to the best down hill ever, I made it to the finish in 4th place in 1hr and 14 min.
Deffinently the hardest but coolest thing I have done. It was so fun! I would deffinently be interested in training for one next year, and this time using a smaller bike.
We are home now, and Mick just raced the Maxxis cup back in France over the weekend and placed 2nd. It was really good! It was fun to go to a smaller race again, just to see the passion in the weekend warriors. It makes me remamber the good days of beginning in the sport. It was cool!
We will be heading back to ALPE D’HUEZ this weekend for another smaller race. It’s really great training for Mick.
The RUSH H.D.T.V. show NOMADS will air sometime this year on the Discovery Chanel, and on the Rush netowork. So check your local listings, and keep an eye out for the star of the show, Mick Hannah!
Have an AWESOME & BLESSED DAY!

Today was absolutely AMAZING!
Mick and I have been doing alot of crosscountry riding, and a few days ago, we came across this little village with a very small street running through it. Kind of like the Lisbon Downtown, but cooler. So today, Mick and Alex Ranken from Earthed when up and filmed on this street! There was a gap that Mick did, that I have to say, made me feel sick watching. I knew he could do it, it was just the fact that there were rails and poles sticking out everywhere. So it was a bit nerve racking, but of course Mick pulled it with style. I won’t give away too much of the good stuff, so you will just have to buy the video when it comes out. But it is going to be very very Cool!
The crosscountry riding here is absolutely amazing! I used to hate riding up hills, but my attitude has totally changed since we have been here. I have seen some of the most majestic, beautiful views I have ever seen anywhere. Not to mention how fun the downhills are too!
Some friends of ours here are starting a riding school and tour for advanced riders, and beginners, so when they get that up and running, I will highly recommend checking it out!
Our friend Foley is here from Australia, and him and Mick are going to be racing the Mega Avalanche in France in 2 weeks. Eversince they were little kids, they dreamed about racing an Avalanche. So they finally get the chance to do it. Foley and his dad were a huge part in getting Mick into mt. bikes. So it’s a pretty big deal to them to race the Mega together and fullfill their childhood dream.
I will be riding in a slopestyle also this weekend with THE CUT! I am pretty excited about it! I have really been enjoying JUST RIDING my bike. No preassure. So now my riding, and my confidence have really stepped up, and it allows me to have alot more fun with what I enjoy doing.
Well, I hope all of you have been enjoying your summer or winter, where ever that may be. Thanks for checking in. Have a Great Day!!!

So Switzerland is absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever been!
I have never been to a place that screamed God so loud!
Rolling grean hills, and Massive Glorious snow covered Peaks!!!
It was amazing! Being there just made me want to start hiking big mountains, and start being outside more so I could enjoy the Lords handy work again! It’s soo amazing.
So I followed through with those feelings, and bought some trail running shoes when I got back to Italy. I always used to say I hated to run and hike, but now I just realize I was missing out
So Mick and Tracy both had the #7 on there number plates, and they both got 5th at this race. Pretty cool I think! Quite amazing!
That course was by far the steepest downhill I have ever seen in my life. You could barely walk down it. I have to say it was more interesting to watch people walking down the course then it was to watch the riders. Quite entertaining!
The four cross was the funnest four cross I have ever watched. It rained soo hard right before the race, so it made for some interesting riding and crashes.
Well, that is it for now. There are a lot of things in the works at the moment for the next few months, so stay tuned. I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag too soon. It is going to be cool though.
Have a Wonder FULL Day!!!

Hey Everyone!!!
Well, this weekend was pretty amazing!
We headed up to Winerburg Germany for a German National Race, and they were also holding a slopestyle there.
Mick ended up winning the DH race!
Cannondale hooked me up with a chase frame the day before we got to the competition. I really wanted to go ride the sloplestyle, but it’s been almost 3 months since I have rode at all. On top of that I had a new bike to get used to, and I was the only english speaking person there, so I didn’t know how or who to ask about the course. It was deffinently a very lonely feeling.
I went over to the course a couple of times trying to work up the courage just to go for it, but it wasn’t happening. I was praying that God would send me someone who I could ride with, and on my second time over to the course I ran into Carter Holland from Black Market Bikes. He was that person I had prayed for. He helped me out a lot by letting me follow him into the dirt jumps.
I didn’t start riding till very late in the day due to the nerves I had, but when I did, it was Awesome. I got to pull a couple no-footed cans , then I had to head back to the hotel.
The next day I worked on my regular cans, and pulled my indian cans for the first time on dirt, then I moved up to my supermans. I was really stoked just to be pulling those tricks since I hadn’t ridden for so long.
I guess you could say I competed, but it was more just a dirt jump session for me. I didn’t get the chace to ride the rest of the course, so I just hit the dirt jumps and pulled a superman for my run. It was a Huge step for me to get out there with all these amazing riders, and a very large crowd of spectators, and do my thing. But it was Amazing!
There is a verse in the bible that says that in our weekness, God’s Strength is made strong. So I know I can say God showed up for me that day!
Have a wonderful week, and be Blessed!!!

Hey everyone!
Hope you all are well.
I just wanted to get in a quick post. We are in Germany at the moment at Daniels Hespellers parents house, on our way to a German national.
Mick got 7th at the Vigo world cup. We had a really good time there. Except for the massive down poor on the last top 20 riders. It was pretty crazy to watch. But it made for some interesting moments for the racers I am sure!
Italy is wonderful! We got to settle into our new house for a few days before we left for Vigo. It is a very cool place, and we feel very much at home!
Thanks for all your support, and we will see you on the road!!!

Hey everyone!
It’s been a ver busy last few months, and I’m appologize for not keeping you posted!
I hope all of you have had a good start of a new year.
A few weeks ago, I went to Canada with a group called Sports Reach, and we did a bunch of demos at a Christian College for 3000 highschoolers. It was Awesome!!! I even got the chance to pull off my first superman, or should I say superwomen. Fully extended! It was Cool! You can check out the weekend at www.sportsreach.com
Mick and I have been training alot the last few months, and it is paying off a lot! I am training to compete in figure competitions, which is a form of bodybuilding. My first competition is April 28th. It is something I have always wanted to do, so I am taking the time to make it happen so I will have no regrets later in life. I will continue to ride, but I am also pursuing other dreams I have had for a long time. But they all go hand in hand. This will make me a stronger rider!
We just decided a month ago, that we will be moving to Italy for the season! It’s going to be such a great experience! We will leave the U.S. in May after my comptition.
Well, that’s all that has been going on for now, but I will keep you posted!!! Have a Great day, and keep going for your dreams!!!

Mick is training really hard for this season, so I am sure you will see Great results from him.

Hey Everyone!!!
How is it going?
So we are in Florida at the mini O’s race. Which is a race that has been going for like 35 years.
We left Colorado on the 6th and arrived at Arizonas coolest motorcross track on the night of the 7th. Michael raced while we were there for fun, but our biggest reason was to support and be a part of MXers for Jesus!!!
It was Awesome! Kevin Cozadd, his wife Casie, and his son Austin are some of the coolest most amazing people you will ever meet. We have been blessed by them and there ministry, but also feel like a big happy family with them.
Mick raced the first two of his races, but wasn’t feeling to good about how his forearms were getting so pumped. So for his last race, he let Brandon suit up and race on his bike. You see, Brandon was planning on racing, but his bike started having major problems on his first lap. So he pulled out of the race. So when Mick gave him a chance to race, Brandon jumped all over it!
It was soo awesome to watch the man I love getting to do something he truly enjoys. To all you girls who struggle with a control that would try and stop your husband or boyfriend from doing something he loves, your making a huge mistake. I see a lot of that in the sports industry, and I see how it destroys relationships, and the men who are held back. You love your man for who he is, so allow him to do the things that make in who he is! A MAN!!! Same for men. Women need to do the things that make us feel like women, so give us the freedom to do the things that make us the woman you fell in love with. I’m sorry to go off on this rant, but I just see too much of this! I want to see relationships succeed, but these issues need to be addressed first.
So now we are in Florida for the Mini O’s race which is a moto-x race that has been going on for about 35 years. It’s one of the most amazing set ups I have ever seen! I am quite impressed!
Mick and I have our own RV thanks to supporters and friends of MXers for Jesus, so I just want to thank the people who donated that to us for this race. :)
So the race is 10 days long, then we will head to the Cozadds home in Alabama for about another week, then we will head back home to our new houses. Just before we came over here, we closed on our first homes. That was deffinently a gift from the Lord! We have some work to do on them, but it will be fun work to do! It’s awesome to have your own home! We are stoked!
Well, I better run, I just got done workint out, and Mick and the boys are heading to pick me up! I pray you all are blessed and well! Thanks for checking in!!!

October 25, 2006
So it all started at 5 a.m. on friday morning. We drug ourselves out of bed, and grabbed some coffee at Starbucks with our buddy Brandon. Then we headed up the mountians to beat the sun rise. We were looking for good places to film a sunrise shot with Don Hampton from DH PRODUCTIONS. It was soo AWESOME to be up in the mountains soo early, You can just feel God! It was an amazing sunrise, and the air was hard to breathe in it was soo cold. Mick found a few really good places to film, and so we headed home for some breakfest at our favorite restaurant called The Peak Grill. It’s mainly our favorite place because the most awesome waitress works there named Micky! She’s super cool. She owns a Gary Fisher, and a Cannondale. We thought that was pretty funny.
Don Hampton got in on Sunday, and at 5 a.m. on Monday morning we headed up to the mountains to get our early morning wake up call. We got to the first spot, and I crawled my way to the top to check it out. Dang! It was soo steep I had to hang on to roots to get down. I almost wish I wouldn’t have looked at it. I got a little nervous for Mick. But we got all set up. Don with his video camera, and I was shooting stills. Mick gave us a yell to warn us he was ready, and I said prayer for him, and down he came. He cleaned the line just perfect. I was thinking how crazy of a way to wake up this is, but also how cool it is. I got some really good photos with that light! You might see them in some magazines I hope. He hit that spot up a few more times, then we were off to the next one.
This one really scared me alot! It was too much for me, but I still got to shoot some more photos. I was shaking soo bad as I watched my husband lower his bike into the role in. It was soo steep and loose, that he could not start from the very top. So he had to hang his bike from some roots, and slide into the place where he would role in. It’s scary when the role in is drop in. There was no room for mistakes.
But once again, he pulled it off perfectly. He was shaking pretty bad when he got to the bottom too!
He did it a few more times though.
We did a lot more shooting that day, and it was all successful. But now there are reports of a blizzard moving in, so we can’t go hit any dirt jumps today. That was a bummer, but I’ll just train harder for next time. So we are going to chill out today, and put some new bikes together, and get ready for the storm to pass.
I will have some photos of today posted hopefully soon, so keep checking back! Thanks for all your support, and I really hope you are all well! It’s fun as we get close to Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love this time of year. The weather makes it kind of hard to ride, but our indoor skatepark just opened back up again! So we will be there a lot!
We will be traveling with a group called MXers 4 JESUS most of November. So I will keep you posted on that! Looking forward to next time! Have an Awesome Day!!!
